‘RC Mini Racers’ Hits Ubuntu Software Center

A few days back we brought you word that the hit Mac game RC Mini Racers was heading to Ubuntu. Today it's arrived. I'll brush over repeating what we said last time suffice to say it's a natty little racing game with enough individuality to make it worth the small $4.99 price tag.

Hit Mac racing game 'RC Mini Racers' is gearing up for an Ubuntu release. The racing title has proved popular on OS X, spending several weeks at #1 in the Mac App Store's 'Top Free Games' chart and 5 months in the top 10. Now the developers behind the game, which is also available on Android, are bringing it to Ubuntu.

Steam Open Linux Beta to 5000 More Gamers

Valve are putting smiles on the faces of Linux-loving gamers, as they announce a widening of access to their Linux Beta client. Some 5000 users who signed up for beta access will be granted access, Valve's Frank Crockett announced to members of the Steam for Linux community on Steam.

Ubuntu 13.04 has gotten it's new default wallpaper - some 5-ish months ahead of schedule! The design won't shock the socks off anyone; it's the same 'subtle evolution' to the design first introduced in Ubuntu 10.04 - but hey, familiarity can be cool, too.
