Accessing daily builds of Google's Chrome browser in Ubuntu is a bit of a fuss compared to that on Windows and Mac. Users of those platforms can install the Chrome Canary builds - a sort of pseudo-daily build that offers the latest bleeding edge features, but running insulated from any other version of Chrome installed. In Ubuntu things are less clear cut.

‘Unity Previews’ Animation Updated in Ubuntu 13.04

Unity's Previews feature has seen a number of refinements over the last week as work on Unity in 13.04 continues. A slicker animation has been introduced, along with better visual differentiation between the active and inactive preview items. Updated navigation bar icons for the Unity Dash have been proposed for Ubuntu 13.04. The updated designs by Matthieu James iterate rather than overhaul those currently used in Ubuntu.

First Wave of Minor Unity Tweaks Land in Ubuntu 13.04

Compiz Fix To Bring Better Gaming Performance to Ubuntu

An update to Compiz that improves gaming performance is on its way to Ubuntu. Compiz 0.9.8.6, currently in preparation, enables a small feature that improves full-screen OpenGL gaming performance in Unity.
