Unity's Previews feature has seen a number of refinements over the last week as work on Unity in 13.04 continues. A slicker animation has been introduced, along with better visual differentiation between the active and inactive preview items. The second beta release of Ubuntu 12.10 has been made available for download. It arrives ahead of Ubuntu 12.10's final release in just over 2 weeks time.
Ubuntu 12.10 Beta 2 is due out next thursday, which means that today marks the last date at which interface and feature changes can be added. I.e. It's exciting new features and changes time! The following updates have already landed in the 'Quantal Proposed' repo and - should nothing bar their way - trickle on down to Ubuntu 12.10 shortly.
Ubuntu developers have decided against the new 'un-minimise' animation present in Ubuntu 12.10, reverting it back to the original effect. The "magic lamp" effect for un-minimising windows was added to Ubuntu 12.10 in late August.
