Official Ubuntu One App for Mac Enters Beta

A beta build of Ubuntu One for OS X has been released by the Ubuntu One team. The team say that the client will 'give all users regardless of platform, access to all the great benefits of Ubuntu One." Its' release means that all three major desktop OSes are now able to use Ubuntu One.

‘Ubuntu Themes’ for Windows and WINE Updated

WINE and/or Windows XP users wanting to add some Ubuntu style to their desktops have long been able to do so by using a custom-made 'Ubuntu Theme for Windows'. That theme has been updated to resemble Ambiance (and Radiance) as found in Ubuntu 12.10, having previously been modelled on Ubuntu 10.10.

Ubuntu 12.10 Beta 1 Available for Download

The first beta build of Ubuntu 12.10 has been made available for download. In the 42 days between the last Alpha release and this beta, a bucket full of change has been chucked over the Quetzal, including new Unity features, theme tweaks and the retirement of Unity 2D.

Ubuntu GNOME Remix Releases First Alpha

The new GNOME-flavoured spin of Ubuntu 12.10 has released an early alpha build for testers to try. Aiming to provide as 'pure' a GNOME experience as possible on Ubuntu, the spin uses the latest beta of GNOME 3.6 as its default desktop environment.
