The handy Windows app ‘Linux Live USB Creator’ has been updated to include support for Ubuntu 11.10 and its derivatives.

Linux Live USB Creator provides a user-friendly way of downloading, installing and trying out Linux distributions from a bootable USB stick. All you have to do is stick your USB stick in, choose a distro or .iso file and the app does the rest.

‘Persistence’ can be enabled on a wide number of distributions, including Ubuntu, meaning you don’t have to to lose your files and settings when logging out.

The latest version adds support for Ubuntu, Lubuntu, Kubuntu and Xubuntu 11.10 alongside support for other distros, including OpenSUSE 12.1 Beta1 and Knoppix 6.7.1.
