It’s been a while since we last mentioned Lucas Rocha‘s brilliant idea/brainstorming/thought gathering/note taking tool ‘The Board‘ but development on it has advanced at a snappy pace since then.

In the video below Lucas Rocha demonstrates how easy it is to ‘add’ content to The Board – from copy-and-paste text to URLS, images and even HTML5 video. Adding what you want is made easy by a combo of browser extensions, Nautilus integration & monitoring your clipboard.

I, for one, can tell that this tool will help the way I work nine-fold. It’s the kind of application i’ve long dreamt about finding for Linux.

Sadly there isn’t a PPA, or even a .deb, to easily install the nifty tool . Lucas has said that the app will see its first release this week, so it shouldn’t too long after that we’ll see some Ubuntu-friendly installation methods popping up.

In the mean time you can have a go at building it yourself following Lucas’ steps. I’ve yet to get it working but if you do let us know your thoughts.
