Add some style to your desktop with the above clock/calendar widget by ~jpope777.
The reversible widget displays a unique animated clock face on one side and calendar on the reverse. A LED ‘button’ allows you to toggle between the modes although the calendar view has an auto-timeout that will switch back to the clock after 10 seconds.

Install
The widget requires Conky to be installed in order to run. You can find this in the Software Centre or install by clicking here.
Also needed is a font called ‘Orolon’ downloadable here.
1. Create a folder named ‘conky’ in ‘home>.config’
2. Extract the conkyclock archive into the newly created conky folder.
3. Copy conkyclock script to ‘home>bin’ and make executable via a Terminal
cd bin
chmod a+x conkyclock
4. Launch by pressing ALT+F2 and entering ‘conkyclock start’
