Just a quick short sharp poke to everyone testing Ubuntu 10.10’s ‘global menu’ via the Unity PPA: you’ll soon find updates to it coming in weekly so if you’ve tested it as much as you think you’re going to you then you may want to disable the PPA and uninstall the app-menu package.

Otherwise, be prepared to keep an eye out for anything that breaks in-between and, after Alpha 1, report bugs accordingly.

The applications that Netbook Edition will have by default are those which require the most testing/keeping your eyes on. You can find a list of those on the AppMenu wiki @ wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopExperienceTeam/ApplicationMenu

From Maverick Alpha 2 onwards the app will be included and you’ll no-longer need to rely on the Unity PPA.
