Display the time in style on your desktop without needing to install entire widget frameworks or mess with complicated conky codes using Cairo-Clock – a themeable, resizable and moveable analogue clock application.

Cairo-Clock comes packed with 19 different themes but many, many more are available to download and install from gnome-look.org.


A wide range of settings are accessible via right-clicking on the clock face and choosing ‘Properties’.

Here you can configure the clock’s style and behaviour to suit your needs: change the size position or animation smoothness, opt to displays the seconds hand, 24 hour mode or even the date.

Positioning the clock on your screen is a simple ‘click and drag’ affair.

Once installation is finished you can launch Cairo-Clock from the Applications->Accessories menu.
