Ever wanted to convert a whole bunch of files in one go? Doing so is easy using SoundConverter.
Sound Converter easily lets you convert all kinds of music-formats in all kinds of other music-formats, best of all it allows you to convert several files at once – or even entire folders.
Formats
Sound Converter (providing you have all the correct codecs installer – namely gstreamer-ugly) can convert any file that the Gstreamer library is able to read into anyone of the following file formats: –
- .mp3
- .ogg
- .m4a
- .flac
- .wav
By default it is set to convert to .ogg so be sure to head on into the preferences to set your preferred format. Whilst there you can also choose the naming scheme for out-putted files, the bit-rate and quality, the resample rate and even whether to delete the original file after conversion!
Sound converter is also multithreaded meaning it will use as many cores as possible to speed up the conversion process.
