The first of two beta releases in the Ubuntu 10.04 development cycle is due to be released later today.
Unlike previous Alpha releases no major new features or changes will be introduced at this stage of the development cycle.
Users joining the development cycle during this beta should be aware that window buttons are now on the left and in a Maximize; Minimize; Close ordering. This is not a bug.
Users of Alpha 3 who have remained up-to-date already have Beta 1 – there is no need to download Beta 1 and reinstall unless you are having serious problems that you think would benefit from doing so.
