The insanely handy task management app Nitro has finally hit the Ubuntu Software Center.
And no, you’re not misunderstanding: for despite its creation way back in April, it has taken a fair ol’ while for the application to get approved, published, and stocked on the shelves of the Software Center…
Free, Nitro is also available for OSX (via the Mac App Store) and as a web app (via the Chrome Web Store).

Nitro stands out from a the deluge of other to-do/note-taking apps out there for a number of reasons.

Install Nitro in Ubuntu 12.10 & 12.04
Getting Nitro in Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10 couldn’t be easier.
Just open up the Ubuntu Software Center and search for ‘nitro’. Hit the ‘Buy’ button (don’t worry, it’s a free app) and begin installation.
Hopefully the developers other apps, Stomcloud and Lightread, also find their way out of the ‘backlog’ queue and land in the Software Center shortly.
