Ubuntu 13.04 has been given its codename by Ubuntu found mark Shuttleworth. And despite many excellent community guesses - thought most we saw seemed to involve the words 'rabid' and 'rabbit' (!) - 13.04 is nicknamed the 'Raring Ringtail'.
Ubuntu 12.10 finally has a codename - Quantal Quetzal. Writing (in lavish quantities of alliteration) on his blog, Mark Shuttleworth gave reasoning behind the codename for the Ubuntu 12.10 release, which, he says, will largely focus around 'Quality'.
Mark Shuttleworth has announced that the codename for Ubuntu 12.04 will be 'Precise Pangolin'.
