More Zeitgeist integration in Software Center shows recommended apps based on usage

As some of you may know, Seif has been working closely with the Software Center developers to integrate Zeitgeist into the Software Center. We blogged about the Software Center using Zeitgeist to display app usage a couple of weeks ago, and naturally the next step would be for that information to be translated into recommendations, which is very, very cool.

New Ubuntu font meets Android, looks stunning

OMG! Reader Nicholas Ipsen dropped by our inbox earlier today to show us some sweet Ubuntu font action in Android. As you might expect, the new font that Canonical contracted type foundry Dalton Maag to design looks brilliant on Google's mobile operating system. More screenshots after the jump.

Danny emailed me yesterday to let me know he's working on a similar guide for Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat, and he's recently blogged about it - asking for submissions of your favourite applications for inclusion.

Apple’s multi-touch Magic Trackpad tested in Ubuntu 10.10

I got my hands on Apple's new cool peripheral that everyone is talking about, the Magic Trackpad. When it was first released, a lot of people said that this was the beginning of the end of the humble and trusty mouse. I'm not entirely convinced that the magic trackpad spells the end, but this idea of bringing laptop multitouch to the desktop is certainly is an interesting concept...
