Ubuntu forums new look in action

After six long years (i’m making that up, but it does feel like a horrendously long time) the Ubuntu Forums has added a new theme that matches the revamped Ubuntu branding introduced during the Ubuntu 10.04 development cycle.

The theme is not enabled default, so you won’t see it when logging in. But it can be easily selected without any need for hacks or user-scripts.

To use it, just log-in to the Ubuntu Forums (be sure to blow the dust off of your credentials first) and scroll to the bottom of the page. You’ll see a drop-down menu on the far-left of the screen. Select ‘Ubuntu’ from this.

Et voila – new Ubuntu theme.
