Stream music stored in your Ubuntu One cloud directly to your stereo, TV or other AirPlay connected device with the official Ubuntu One client for iPhone.

What’s AirPlay?

AirPlay is a new proprietary service from Apple ‘which allows a computer, iPhone, iPod, or iPad with the iTunes music player or iOS 4.2 to send a stream of music, video, or photos to multiple devices such as an AirPort Express, Apple TV or other AirPlay enabled device.’

Don’t have an airplay device? You may soon have for the wireless technology is currently being integrated into a whole host of audio/visual products such as speaker docks, stereo systems and is already available for owners of the latest Apple TV.

Ubuntu users are able to take advantage of the tech via to Ubuntu One; all that’s needed is the official Ubuntu One Music app for iPhone and some AirPlay integrated hardware.

You can find more information on the service, including how to get up and running with it, over on the Canonical blog @ voices.canonical.com/ubuntuone/?p=757
