See that above? That’s Ubuntu running natively (without Android running) on the HTC Desire HD.
Sound, Firefox, USB and keys don’t currently work on the device but an impressive amount does including WiFi, touchscreen (works as a touchpad), SMS, Calls, and more.
Whilst I wouldn’t advise anyone to attempt this, Desire HD owners intrigued by the thought of shoving Ubuntu where it wouldn’t normally go should stop by this thread on the XDA Developers forum for the full low-down.
