Indicator-based clipboard tool Diodon now available for Ubuntu 10.04 users

Notice: This post is more than a year old. It may be outdated.

Light-weight Clipboard indicator applet Diodon has finally been made available for Ubuntu 10.04 users.

Simple in purpose and running directly from the indicator-applet area, Diodon is able to ‘capture’ a wide variety of clipboard items including Pictures, files and URLs. It then lists them within the indicator-applet for easy access at a later date.

Ubuntu 10.04 through to 11.04 are supported by the official PPA

To install Diodon in Ubuntu 10.04, 10.10 or 11.04 add ‘ppa:diodon-team/stable’ to Software Sources, run an update and then search ‘Diodon’ in the Software Centre.

Alternatively installation via the Terminal can be achieved by issuing the following two commands separately: –

  • sudo add-apt-repository ppa:diodon-team/stable
  • sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install diodon
