In an update to semantic launcher ‘Synapse’ an indicator-applet landed and, for now at least, it’s not optional…
As someone who values the advance of mono-isation, the velvet green of the Synapse icon is a little bit out of keeping with the rest of my panel.
Thankfully this is easy to resolve for now thanks to these neat icons by Eduardo Rivas –
- Download Synapse-mono-icons.tar.gz
- Right click on the archive and extract
- Choose your desired mono icon.svg and delete the number suffix.
- Hit ALT+F2 and enter: –
- gksu nautilus /usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/
- Move the mono Synapse .svg icon of your choice to the above folder, replacing the original.
Don’t forget to make a back-up of the original icon incase you wish to re-use it at a later date.
