Download/Upgrade
Upgrading via the PPA is easy. First you need to add the Stable builds PPA to your Software Sources list.
This can be achieved two ways. The “easiest” for most is to use the following commands in a new Terminal session: –
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:transmissionbt/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install transmission
GUI-fans can use their favourite method. We recommend ‘IntroducePPA’ where by you only need to enter: –
ppa:transmissionbt/ppa
then hit ‘Add’. You can then use the Update Manager to upgrade Transmission.
Thanks for the poke Piers!
