A new version of oft-forgot desktop Jabber client Gaijm has been released.
Version 0.14 sees the chatty app add several new features: –
- Audio / video chat
- Improve startup time
- Groupchat auto-rejoin
- Geolocation (with geoclue)

Installing the latest Gaijm – and automatically staying up-to-date with the latest releases as and when they ship – is just a PPA away.
Open a terminal (Applications > Accessories > Terminal) and enter the following two lines separately carefully.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gajim/gajim-ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install gaijm
