history comes to Maverick Software Centre

With the first Alpha release of Ubuntu 10.10 only a few weeks a way the seeds of change have begun to sprout.

The Ubuntu Software Centre on course to add a tonne of great new features this cycle — ratings, ability to purchase software through the store and start integrating Synaptic-esque features.

Another change, as you can see in the screenshot below (kindly provided by Lee Jarratt), is the beginnings of a ‘history’ feature to allow users to easily see and control installations and removals.

Also recently uploaded to Ubuntu Maverick is a new version of the default Calculator which gains coloured buttons, new memory options and a much improved start-up time.
