GNOME Paint is Microsoft Paint clone for Linux

Notice: This post is more than a year old. It may be outdated.

As much as Microsoft Paint is derided, mocked and generally thought of as lame there is no denying that it’s one of the applications newcomers to Ubuntu find curiously omitted.

GNOME Paint aims to fill that gap.

The latest version, 0.3, has just been released. GNOME Paint comes with all of the familiar MSPaint tools: –

  • Pencil
  • Lines
  • Rectangles
  • Ellipses
  • Polygons
  • Color Picker
  • Round Brush
  • Air brush
  • Curves
  • Flood Fill
  • Rounded Rectangle

It also provides unlimited undo/redo and dynamic image resizing.
