A quick heads up for fans of Docky, the super-slick, super-flexible desktop dock for Linux: the latest update adds ‘spacing’ between launchers and docklets when running in Panel Mode.
The image below gives you a better view of how that separator looks in action:
Those using Docky panel mode will certainly appreciate this change. It makes panel mode more usable by looking more like a panel. I won’t say Windows-esque since the right-hand side doesn’t function as a tray area (but you can add a clock Docklet).
Previously, Docky centre-aligned icons in panel mode which made it look less panel-y and more dock-y (fitting for an app called Docky, I suppose).
Anyway, that’s it. Just wanted to pass on word.
If you have the Docky PPA added run an apt-get update to check for the latest version, and then install it if it’s ready for you (I’m writing about this a few hours before the packages are built, so it might not be ready yet).
Plenty more features to come!
