uTorrent Vote LinuxAlmost 1500 users of free, but closed-source, torrent application uTorrent have voted for a Linux version to be made, using the project’s new ideabank page to voice their demand.

The native-Linux suggestion currently outstrips the second most popular idea, to create plug-ins for uTorrent, by over 800 votes.

uTorrent is currently only available for Windows and Mac OS X, although WINE is listed as a supported platform.

There’s clearly an appetite from users for an official native version of uTorrent  – but is there a chef willing to sate it?
