I’ve used GTD for over 4 years (mainly using Outlook Tasks) and Getting Things Gnome looks truely inspired. I have never come across a more easy to use action list software that is also so flexible and powerful. I love the Work View concept which I have never seen on other software.

I just wish I could use it at work. I suppose it is a stupid question but is there any software on windows that works in the same way? Be great if there were.

I can’t activate the RTM plugin, it’s greyed out and says “The plugin can not be loaded. Unknown error while loading the plugin.”
Any ideas?

It is just that the 0.12 release in the Jaunty PPA is where the DBUS calls don’t work.

I believe we’ll have the 0.2 verison in the ppa for jaunyty, but not the development versions.

any chance of the PPA having the 0.19 release for Jaunty. As there are still people like me who are worried about upgrading to Karmic?

I’m one of the developers of GTG, the target of the uber-menly effusions.
Rtm sync it’s still a bit unstable, but after having been featured here I have to make it work :-P
For the pen&paper addicted, we have just added a plugin to export and print a selection of tasks with a template of your choice (it could be an html page, plain text, latex..). Up to now, we have only two templates (html and txt) but, hey, we just wrote that this week. Users are very welcome to contribute with their own templates.
CouchDb sync is already under way, should be released for 0.3.
We encourage everybody to get the latest release from https://edge.launchpad.net/gtg and fill in bugs, so that we can make 0.2 more awesome.

Now if only Google would hurry up and give us an API for Google Tasks! A plugin would create a perfect combination :)
