A new version of music app Beatbox has been released, with the focus this time falling on the 'tidying up' of existing features rather than adding new ones. Amongst the areas given polish in Beatbox 0.6 are the main toolbar, which now sports a tighter, if somewhat cramped, look, and the album track selection pop-up.
Beatbox music player has improved the way additional artists/track data is displayed. Detailed artist information, discography and pictures, as well as lyrics for the currently playing track, can be revealed by clicking the new 'information' button added to the toolbar.
Beatbox music player has been updated and made available for Ubuntu 12.04. The former-elementary application, which hits version 0.4 with this release, gains stability, performance and bug fixes in addition to a number of significant new features.
The first stable release of lightweight music player Beatbox is now available for Ubuntu users. Pictures and download how-to inside.
The development branch of elementary music player 'Beatbox' has seen initial introduction for an album-art view and Ubuntu Sound Menu support.
If you've been dying to get your hands on a development release of the elementary projects' new music player 'BeatBox' then you're in luck - it now has its own development PPA for intrepid testers to try it out from.
