The folks from streaming music service Spotify have sent over this sneak peek of work they’ve been doing to integrate Spotify with Ubuntu’s nifty Sound Menu.
Basic support for MPRIS (Media Player Remote Interfacing Specification) landed in the last major update to Spotify for Linux, released in November of last year.
