I’ve been using it on my own Ubuntu desktop for a while (visible in many recent screenshots), and it’s proven highly popular with users on the Ubuntu Forums too (I see in screenshots posted there – good taste, folks).
The background is called ‘Ubuntu Aurora’, created by DeviantArt user ~notmiown.
It is is breathtakingly epic to gawk on the daily. It combines a beautiful space-scape with the brand new Ubuntu logo turning supernova – with Ubuntu’s popularity exploding of late, rather fitting I think!
