Several weeks back we mentioned the curious fact that uTorrent users were voting in their thousands asking developers to make a native Linux version.

So strong was the call for a native version that it rocketed up to become the number one most requested feature on the official uTorrent suggestion site.

The votes did not fall on deaf ears. A Linux client has been confirmed as being worked on, although uTorrent idea admin Firon did hasten to add a disclaimer: –

“We’re working on it, but I can’t tell you how the final release will be.”

Still better than nothing, right?
