The image above is a screenshot of my Ubuntu 9.10 desktop as it looks today, September 6th, 2009.
Why am I posting a screeenshot of my Ubuntu desktop? Eh, I do it every so often for my own purposes. I like to be able to look back at old screenshots of my daily desktop driver to see how much it changes, and the way in which I use it does.
Plus, that wallpaper of a literal Karmic Koala is pretty dope, right? It’s called ‘Karmic Lotus’ and is one of the community wallpaper submissions made for the upcoming release of Ubuntu 9.10. You can download it (and some variations) from the Ubuntu Wiki.
For those wondering what’s on show I’m using the Dust GTK2 theme, the Breathe icon set, GNOME Do/Docky from bleeding edge. The half-obscured, turned up folded nestled thing in the corner is CoverGloobus and one of the new themes added recently.
That’s what my desktop looks like. What does yours look like? Share a link to it in the comments section for me (and everyone else) to take a good look at!
