Want to find out what percentage of your Ubuntu system is made up of “free” software and packages?
On my install, 1.0% of my total installed packages are not-free, meaning i’m 99% there!
Install VRMS with
- sudo apt-get install vrms
then just type:
- vmrs
into a terminal session and hit enter.
A list of your non-free installed packages will be listed, along with your “non-free” percentage!
So… What’s your score?
N.B. This is meant to be a bit of fun. Most systems have “non-free” software installed for things such as Flash, Graphics Drivers, etc
