Minitube developer Flavio Tordini is searching for a new icon for his desktop Flash-free YouTube player.
In a post on the Minitube website Flavio has announced a Minitube icon design contest, stating that he always had the feeling the incumbent icon ‘could be made better’. 
The requirements in designing a new icon are as follows: –
Requirements
- The icon must be in SVG format and render correctly with Inkscape.
- The icon license must be Debian-compatible.
- I’d like to keep the “blue screen” concept because users are used to it. But this is not a strict requirement.
- It’s ok to start from the current SVG icon
What you win
The incentive – other than having your icon displayed on thousands of desktops worldwide – is a credit in the ‘About’ box of Minitube, as well as the release notes and on the official blog plus 5 free licenses for the Mac version.
