I’ve just made a small search on google and on the appstore, can’t find this app.

As for the police etc, it’s all still hearsay until they access my actual data and discover that I play Catch the Kitten too much. Big deal. Or maybe I accessed a porn site. I actually still don’t care.

You definitely have a valid point – but my initial reaction to what I’m reading is that I’m not afraid. Our institutions might be displaying signs of lunacy from time to time, but I just can’t foresee complete delerium that would facilitate this kind of behaviour. And if we ever did reach that, I can’t imagine a conscious or coherent effort to capitalise on the leaked information.

So lets say in the future you go in for a job interview, first thing employers might do is check your public online profile at XYZ website where anyone can post comments about you. It may not matter to your friends, but potential employers? What about local police? This is sort of like a human version of your credit report, but…. public. Eventually, companies, law enforcement, etc can profile you based on your online presence and then what? Predict if you will commit a crime? Predict what kind of crime you might commit? Lock you up before you do something? When will it end? Its easier to stop that sort of madness now, before it gets out of hand. I’m choosing to keep my public identity offline as much as possible, as impossible at it is these days.

I certainly don’t want my personal information made public, but other peoples opinions of me.. I don’t see what power they have. No-one I respect or rely on would use that as a source. No?
