Ubuntu desktop lead Martin Wimpress has announced he is leaving Canonical. Wimpress became Ubuntu desktop lead in October 2019, taking over from Will Cooke.
Ubuntu desktop lead Martin Wimpress has created a tool called Rolling Rhino. Its aim: convert an Ubuntu daily build image into a "rolling release" distro by opting into and tracking the devel series of changes/packages.
Martin Wimpress, head of the Ubuntu MATE project, has been announced as Canonical's new Ubuntu desktop director. He replaces Will Cooke in the role.
