Kdenlive 16.08.2 has been released.

The update is the second ‘bug fix’ release in the Kdenlive 16.08 series, which made its debut back in August.

It solves a number of ‘keyframe related problems as well as improvements to proxy clip rendering, user interface, workflow and compilation issues.’

Kdenlive 16.08.2 lets you copy and paste keyframes on clips and in transitions; improves keyframe icons; and fixes broken keyframes on image/title clips.

Other changes include smarter set of defaults in the color selection effect, correct initialization of the Composite transition, and various effect track and timeline tweaks.

Install Latest Kdenlive on Ubuntu

Getting the latest Kdenlive release on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and Ubuntu 16.10 is a total snip. Just add the official Kdenlive Stable PPA to your Software Sources using the Terminal app:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kdenlive/kdenlive-stable

Then, refresh your sources so that Ubuntu knows where to download the version from, and install it:

sudo apt update && sudo apt install kdenlive

Launch the app from the Unity Dash (or equivalent application launcher).
