Want to help test Steam for Linux Beta?

Valve have today launched a ‘Steam for Linux Survey’ – a short questionnaire potential users fill out to inform Valve of their hardware, software and OS set-ups.

They say:

We’re looking for Linux gamers to install and test our new Steam for Linux client.

A thousand or so respondents to the survey will be chosen, all of whom will get the chance to put Steam for Linux Beta through its paces ahead of a wider non-limited release that’s expected before the year is out.

The ‘limited beta client’ itself has yet to be released – though Valve say to expect it ‘shortly’.

Yesterday we revealed that Valve may have something up their sleeve for next weeks Ubuntu Developer Summit.

The survey is short and to the point. You’ll need a Steam account to login and complete it.
