New Ubuntu Merch

New items have been added to the official Ubuntu Shop, including the obligatory ‘new release’ t-shirts.

Canonical update their range of branded goods around one every 6 months, typically before the release of the latest Ubuntu version.

T-shirts emblazoned with the Raring Ringtail motif are probably, for most, the star draw. Available in Mens and Womens sizes, the grey shirts will set you back £10.25/$16.26/€12.60.

The “official mascot” t-shirt has been a tradition since Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala:

Aside from wearables a couple of new accessories are now available. A PU leather bound notebook can be nabbed for £8.75 (€12.91/$16.66), and a 4-in-1 pen to scribble on its 240 pages with for £2.20 (€3.25/$4.19).

The main drawback with buying anything from the online Ubuntu Shop are the shipping costs. These remain slightly exorbitant for most outside of the UK (and for many within). For example, you’ll pay more for postage on the pen than for the pen itself.
