Following the rebranding of Ubuntu all of the major spins sought to realign their visual identity in keeping.
Kubuntu has finally begun work on creating their ‘new’ visual branding and based on the preliminary mock-ups several Kubuntu people are pushing around I’m impressed.
[Note that the K in the lower picture is NOT the final ‘K’]

Sure, the new ‘style doesn’t stray from the visual footprint of its bigger brother Ubuntu (see below) but it does move Kubuntu, in my eyes at least, towards a persona more befitting of its professional feel.
