It’s been almost one year exactly since we last got all political on our readership.

Last January we took part in ‘Internet Blackout’ – a protest against a proposed Australian internet censorship bill – but today we’re prodding our American readers at very short notice and with a very sharp stick.

Tuesday 15 February 2011 17:00 US/Eastern is the deadline for American citizens to register voice against ACTA – the proposed international ‘counterfeiting agreement’ that seeks to extend the sucker tentacles of copyright criminalisation into as many nooks and crannies in every day life as possible.

The Free Software Foundation are providing those concerned with details on how to do just that.

So if you’ve not missed the boat get your grumpy boots on!
