Although official support of Songbird on Linux will cease a community maintained version will continue – as we mentioned on our previous post.
This version now has a (likely temporary) name: Lyrebird.
It’s early days for the fork so the team are actively looking for contributers. Head on over to #lyrebird on irc.mozilla.org to see how you can get involved.
