m10 tablet pre-oder

The world’s first Ubuntu Tablet will go on pre-sale this coming Monday, March 28.

The Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition tablet will be available to pre-order in two versions: a HD (1280 x 800) model and a high-spec FHD (1920 x 1200) model.

The pre-order is now live and pricing has been confirmed. See this post for more details.

Pricing will be announced on Monday. The tablet will, as with the phone, be sold direct by Bq through its international website.

Resolution is not the only difference between the pair of slates.

The M10 HD uses a marginally slower processor and GP (albeit the same MediaTek MT8163 chipset). It also has lower quality cameras, with a 5MP rear snapper on the HD versus a 8MP rear snapper on the FHD.

16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM and ports/connectivity is standard across both devices.

Hotly Anticipated

The Meizu Pro 5 Ubuntu Edition may have been met by a frosty reception during its MWC debut. but the M10 was dealt a far warmer response.

The M10 is able to work as both as gesture-rich ‘tablet’ and power a converged Ubuntu PC experience when an external mouse and keyboard is attatched.

The M10 is the Ubuntu device many of us have been waiting for — and it’s just taken a huge leap closer.

More details to follow.
