upgrade to ubuntu 17.10 poll

Ubuntu 17.10 is set to be released on Thursday October 19 — which, if you haven’t been paying attention to the nearest calendar, is less than a week away!

Having spent the past 6 months in development chances are you’ve some inclination as to whether or not you will upgrade to Ubuntu 17.10.

If so, do you plan to upgrade right away? Will you let others take the plunge first, and make a decision on their experiences? Or do you plan to skip this version entirely?

Whatever your plans are we want to know about ’em. You can signal your intention in the poll we’ve helpfully embedded below.

Do You Plan to Upgrade to Ubuntu 17.10? Vote in Our Poll

The poll embed below asks about Ubuntu 17.10 (including flavors) specifically. This is why there are no options for ‘I will install Linux Mint‘, ‘I hate Ubuntu‘, ‘I didn’t have dinner‘, etc.

For the avoidance of doubt the term “upgrade” is used here, but is interchangeable with “fresh install” and “update a pre-release of 17.10 to the final stable release”. So if you’re already running the pre-release version you should vote Yes, you plan to upgrade.

All of the listed options apply to Ubuntu’s official family of flavors too. If you’re running Ubuntu Budgie 17.04 and plan to upgrade to Ubuntu Budgie 17.10, you would vote Yes, if you plan to stick on Ubuntu MATE 16.04 LTS, you’d vote No, and so on.

Finally, if you’re using our Android app you won’t be able to see the poll embed. As a workaround you can open the overflow menu while viewing this post, and tap “open in external browser”).
