Does Rhythmbox’s lack of a keyboard shortcut for the ‘Remove’ option annoy you? Well here’s an easy way to add a short-cut key of your choice

It annoyed OMG! reader called Dino too. So much so that he sought out some advice from the Rhythmbox developers on how to add one. Turns out it’s pretty easy to do.

  • Open a Terminal (Applications > Accessories > Terminal)
  • Enter: gconftool -t bool -s /desktop/gnome/interface/can_change_accels true
  • Open Rhythmbox > Edit menu
  • Hover your mouse cursor over the ‘Remove’ menu entry and press the key you wish to use as the shortcut (Such as the ‘Delete’ key)
