If you use OpenOffice you may have noticed the rather frustrating start-up times each time you launch it.
I came across this nifty tweak today which speeds up the length of time it takes for OpenOffice to launch.
- Open up System, Preferences, Startup Applications and click ‘add’ to add a new entry.
- In the Command field, type openoffice –nodefault –nologo
- Close and reboot.
Starting any OpenOffice.org application in the future will now happen in an almost instant fashion.
