Yesterday Benjamin showed off some slick conceptual Unity behaviour mock-ups. Today some of those ideas presented in those exist in code thanks, once again, to the work of Andrea Azzarone.
The Unity Launcher may, after all, end up with a few user-adjustable settings. A recent Unity launcher 'hack' by Andrea Azzarone allows icons on the Unity launcher to re-sized. By dragging a simple slider within Unity's CCSM settings page icons can be made as small as 32px or as big as 64px.

How many of Unity's keyboard shortcuts do you know? Probably not as many as you'd like! For Ubuntu 12.04 a 'shortcut overlay hint' will appear on screen when the Super key (Aka 'Windows key') is pressed and held. The overlay presents a handy list of key-combos for accessing and navigating various Unity features - which are ideal for power users.

Ubuntu hit feature freeze last week, which means for most intents and purposes the features for 11.10 and are now in place, and the remainder of the cycle is left for bug fixing and polish, as you can see the contributor team has been quite busy!
Changes to the way the Unity Dash looks and behaves in Ubuntu 11.10 are on the way. In the Unity 2D development branch some of this work can already be seen. Better still we're told much of the same design is planned for regular 'ol Unity.
