LightWorks for Linux Opens Alpha Access For Limited Time

Lightworks open up access to their limited Linux Alpha

Notice: This post is more than a year old. It may be outdated.

Lightworks for Linux

Access to the Linux version of professional-grade video editor Lightworks has been widened today – but only for a 2 hour window.

Lightworks saw a limited Linux Alpha release back in October of last year, much to the disappointment of many.

Describing that initial Alpha test period as ‘extremely successful’, Lightworks are moving forward again with a new alpha testing period.

A public beta release of the editor is scheduled for early spring.

Signing Up

Signing up to the alpha is easy though it does require you to create a Lightworks Community account first.

Editshare, the company behind the video editor, do warn that inactive testers will be ‘removed’ – so if you sign up and use it, be sure to contribute!
