Imagine for a second that an official Ubuntu-branded laptop existed. What would it look it?
Reader Nick Rutledge asked himself this question, then mocked-up his dream device for all to see.
His ideal Ubuntu laptop would sport an ‘Ultrabook‘ style case, dual cameras for 3D chat and pictures, a wide edge-to-edge screen, and a solar-panel on the lid to charge the battery when idle.
Although official Ubuntu hardware is extremely unlikely to happen, there’s nothing to stop 3rd party manufacturers investing in something with more individuality than the usual identikit prefab devices rolling off the production line – something that Nick’s idea certainly offers.
