Readers of the online edition of German magazine Der Spiegel are being treated to a new series on ‘Switching to Linux’.

The guide, whose first part went online yesterday, will talk readers though the benefits of installing and using Ubuntu 11.10.

The first part – ’Nie wieder Viren‘ (No more Viruses) – looks at the usefulness of Linux in the context of Windows malware, describing how it can be used to repair infected PCs.Later instalments will follow up this hot-potato intro to Linux with details on installing and using Ubuntu.

If you know a German speaking trojan-prone PC user be sure to send them a link.
