Emesene, the popular MSN-styled messaging client, has a new stable release available for download.

The update fixes several issues, including a recent connection issue caused by changes to the MSN service.

How to install Emesene 2.11.11 in Ubuntu

The Emesene Stable PPA provides packages for Ubuntu 10.04 through 11.10.

To install/upgrade to Emesene 2.11.11 first add the following PPA to your Software Sources: –

ppa:emesene-team/emesene-stable

After adding open Update Manager and check for updates. If you already have Emesene installed an option to upgrade will appear.

If you don’t yet have Emesene installed you can install it from the Ubuntu Software Centre.
